Nothing can make Betsy Taylor give up her shoe fetish - even dying and rising as the new Queen of the Vampires. Luckily, she lands a job in Macy's department store - but a string of vampire murders in town means she won't have much time to try on the sinfully delicious shoes.
Betsy is now the Queen of the Vampires, and she doesn't want the job. Most don't even believe she could be Queen, and the rest are staying away from her. Things get even more complicated when she gets a new job, and ends up having to leave because Vampires are being murdered.
This book was a nice sequel to the first one, and it's still getting the reader used to the characters and the story, but it wasn't great. I liked it over, it was funny, interesting, and very fast paced, but it wasn't great.
Also, the heroine takes a lot to get used to at first. She's not very bright, and she seems rather selfish and vain, but after some time you get used to her and she's not so bad. I ended up really liking her actually.
However, that said, I still can't stop reading this series, and I must have more!
