Her mother died. Her two sisters loathed her. One aunt hated her. The other was strangely distant, but the worst storm—being dumped by her childhood best friend/high school boyfriend/first love for her younger sister.
There went the one person who was hers and with that, the main reason she stuck around. So, she left for ten years. But now she’s back, and nothing’s the same.
With help from Jonah Bannon, a reformed—kind of—bad boy she remembers from high school, Dani uncovers family secrets that have spanned generations. And along with those, she’s about to face the biggest sh*t storm of her life.
Only this time, she may not survive.
Dani is back home after ten long years. Things aren't looking so good for her, and when she starts to learn about secrets that her family has been keeping things get even worse.
Add in her ex's coming into her life, and a new man trying to get her attention then her crazy sister and you have a whole world fully of drama and chaos, but Dani does what she can to rage through it.
This book was extremely good! I was blown away by this twisted, crazy plot line and Dani.
I loved Dani's character, and I thoroughly enjoyed how she handled things.
However, I was a bit annoyed that there wasn't more between her and her new man. But, I still enjoyed the good thing between them. And I enjoyed the rest of this story even the end, though I felt it ended rather abruptly.
Tijan did it again with this awesome story, and a "Sam" like heroine!
