Music meets Movies in this sweet college romance from the bestselling author of Cinder & Ella.
NYU freshman Nate Anderson is a triplet who is desperate to escape his wild and crazy brothers. After they screw things up for him one too many times, Nate flees his housing situation and takes the first available room for rent as far from his brothers as he can get.
Enter his new roommate Jordan--a quirky LA girl who believes that everything in life has already been done in the movies. In this heartfelt tale of love, friendship and family, Nate learns how to deal with his new adult life using Hollywood films as a guide.
If We Were a Movie begins when Nate wants to get away from his brothers, he's one of a triplet and things aren't going so well for him. But, when he gets the chance to move out away from his brothers, his new roommate, Jordan who is actually a girl may just be what he needs.
Jordan and Nate build a beautiful friendship, and while Nate does currently have a girlfriend, things aren't looking so great between them. But, Jordan shows Nate how his life could be if he would just stand up a little bit. Nate does his best to figure out what he wants to do with his life, and what's right for him.
This book was really good! I loved the humor and relationship between Nate and Jordan as well. I also loved the fact that it was even in just Nate's point of view.
I loved how Nate was trying to figure out how to handle his family and girlfriend, and how Jordan wasn't afraid to show him to fight for what he wanted once and for all.
I did, however, want to kick his girlfriend's butt several times during this book, but I was very happy with what happened in the end.
This book had a beautiful happily ever after that made me giddy with happiness, and now I want more from one of my favorite authors!
