Title: Rock Chick
Series: Rock Chick #1
Author: Kristen Ashley
Rating:

Indy Savage, cop's daughter, rock chick and used bookstore owner, has been in love with Lee Nightingale, once bad boy, now the man behind Nightingale Investigations, since she was five years old. No matter what ingenious schemes Indy used to capture his attention, Lee never showed an interest and Indy finally gave up. Now Indy's employee, Rosie, has lost a bag of diamonds and bad guys are shooting at him. When Indy gets involved, Lee is forced to help. Complicting matters, Lee has decided he's interested, Indy's decided she's not. But she can't seem to keep Lee out of her life when she's repeatedly stun gunned, kidnapped and there are car bombs exploding (not to mention she's finding dead bodies).

Indy's best bet is to solve the mystery of the diamonds before Lee. Lee's challenge is to keep Indy alive and, at the same time, win back her heart.

Indy Savage has just got herself into a world of trouble. Her barista, Rosie, messed with the wrong people and got Indy shot at. Now, she must use the help of them man she's loved since she was five and he wants a certain type of payment in return.

Indy doesn't want to give him this payment, and she realizes that he couldn't possible want more with her now after all the years, so she's going to put up the fight of her life against him and those who seem to be after her. With stun guns, car bombs, and dead bodies, Indy is in for the ride of her life she's just hoping she survives with her life and heart still intact.

Rock Chick is a book filled with humor, romance, suspense, and some nutty ass characters. It's a great blend of all of the things and more set into one awesome story!

This is the first book of a series that will keep you wanting to re-read these books over and over through out the years. (Trust me, I know from experience)
I loved Indy in this book. She was a great character, and I loved how she was scared about things, but once she realized Lee's plan she decided that she wanted in as well.
And she also wasn't going to put up with his crap.

Lee on the other hand confused me at first, but then after learning his reasons about certain things I totally understood him, and I enjoyed reading the interactions between Lee and Indy. They are a great couple, and I adored them.

This book also sets us up for the next book, and brings in a lot of characters that we will read about frequently through out this series. And KA did a great job of introducing that and her Rock Chick world to us all in this book!
