Title: Love Tap
Author: M.N. Forgy
Rating:

All I ever wanted was to be a female fighter.
It was in my blood to smack people around.
Some girls wore pink dresses and makeup, I wore sneakers and bruises.
I was a loner, stuck to myself because I was different, until Camden Steel moved next door.
I punched him in the mouth, and he saw me through rose colored glasses from that day on.
I had everything I ever wanted.
The boy next door, inspiring career… until I didn’t.
He hates me. I deserve that.
They say you have to fight for what you want… What they don’t tell you… is it’ll cost you more than you're willing to give to reach the top.

ARC

Love Tap beings with Tate goes back home. She's finally ready to do what she was born to do, even if that means having problems with her dad, and seeing the one man who got away so long ago. Camden has experienced much in the four years that Tate has been away. He's not the same boy, he's a man now with a lot more scars.

But Tate and Camden's passion hasn't waned much, and although they seem to slowly be picking up where they left off things are also coming to light between them, and old secrets are coming back.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. I liked it for the most part, but I had a really hard time dealing with the characters, and what happened towards the ending.
It has a really awesome theme of a female fighter, but there wasn't a lot of fighting done with her, well, at least not in the ring that is. There was a lot of fighting between Tatum and Camden, but not so much where I was hoping it would be.

Other than that I liked it, and I did like the relationship between Tatum and Camden, they have a very intense romance, with a very sweet friendship.

However, it was just frustrating that Tatum didn't fight much, and that stuff that happens towards the end just felt rushed and unwarranted to the story.

This one wasn't the best I've read of this author, but it was still very enjoyable and fairly quick read.

m.n. forgy bio.jpg
M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.
