She wears a thousand deadly identities. He sees through them all.
A master of disguise, Isabel Roma spends her life pretending to be other women. Normally, her emotions are reined in tight—but sexy mercenary Trevor Callaghan has a knack for getting under her skin. The elite operative’s quiet strength and raw magnetism affect her in ways she’s never felt before, a distraction that can quickly turn deadly in their dangerous line of work.
After putting his tragic past behind him, Trevor is ready to focus on his future—and he damn well intends for Isabel to be in it. When their entire operation is thrown into chaos, Trevor enlists Isabel’s talent for deception. And as they attempt to save their team in a world where the stakes are high and the danger is grave, Trevor must convince Isabel that the woman beneath all the disguises is the one worth having...
Midnight Games starts out with Isabel helping out Trevor's team with a job. Trevor doesn't really want her helping out though because he wants to protect her. But Isabel isn't having it, and when both of their pasts seem to come back to haunt them things get a lot more complicated for them.
Trevor just wants to prove to Isabel that he needs her even though part of his past is getting in the way. But her demons are also getting in the way, and if she can get past them than life as she knew it will never be the same again.
This one was a whole lot better than the last. While I grew frustrated whit Isabel at times, I was really enjoying her character. She was a woman of disguise who thought no one really saw her. But Trevor proves her wrong. And Trevor is a man who lost something precious to him, but is willing to put it behind him to move on with Isabel. These two make a great couple and a wonderful team. I adored this plot line and both of the main characters. And of course it was really awesome to see some of the other character's point of view and what they were up to.
