Title: The Duchess War
Series: Brothers Sinister #1
Author: Courtney Milan

Sometimes love is an accident.

This time, it’s a strategy.

Miss Minerva Lane is a quiet, bespectacled wallflower, and she wants to keep it that way. After all, the last time she was the center of attention, it ended badly--so badly that she changed her name to escape her scandalous past. Wallflowers may not be the prettiest of blooms, but at least they don't get trampled. So when a handsome duke comes to town, the last thing she wants is his attention.

But that is precisely what she gets.

Because Robert Blaisdell, the Duke of Clermont, is not fooled. When Minnie figures out what he's up to, he realizes there is more to than her spectacles and her quiet ways. And he's determined to lay her every secret bare before she can discover his. But this time, one shy miss may prove to be more than his match...

The Duchess War is a unique historical romance filled with mystery, intrigue and a whirlwind romance! Minnie has secrets, many secrets that can not be found out. But when someone threatens her with something she didn't do, she must confront the culprit before her life gets turned upside down. However, when that person turns out to be a Duke named Robert, things get more and more complicated. But Minnie will do everything necessary to keep her secrets even if it means war...
This book totally blew me away. I'm extremely picky with my historical romance novels, because I can not stand the way the spoke back then. But this one was totally amazing. It has a lot of mystery, and a beautiful romance. I truly adored both the heroine and hero. They were perfect for each other, and equally great characters all by themselves. I also enjoyed reading about the side characters as well, especially when it leads to the next books too.

This was a really good read, and I highly recommend it!
