First in a brand new series from the author of the rogue mage novels
Jane Yellowrock is the last of her kind-a skinwalker of Cherokee descent who can turn into any creature she desires and hunts vampires for a living. But now she's been hired by Katherine Fontaneau, one of the oldest vampires in New Orleans and the madam of Katie's Ladies, to hunt a powerful rogue vampire who's killing other vamps...
Skinwalker begins when Jane shows up a vamps house for a job. She's a vamp killer for hire, and when she gets hired to kill a rogue vamp, it's not at all what she thought it would be like. Especially when she has several different men vying for her attention, and trying to throw her off the scent.
This was a really good start to this series. The only thing I had a really hard time with was when Jane is shifted, I sort of hate how we have to read Beast's point of view. That got a little old after while. But I really thought the book was good.
It had a lot of action, a very strong heroine, but I'm not really sure about a love interest. I thought there might have a been one or two, but truly it seemed like Jane was just there for herself. I can not wait to read more in this series now.
