The vampires of Asheville, North Carolina, want to establish their own clan, but since they owe loyalty to the Master Vampire of New Orleans they must work out the terms with him. To come up with an equitable solution, he sends an envoy with the best bodyguard blood money can buy: Jane Yellowrock.
But when a group of local campers are attacked by something fanged, Jane goes from escort to investigator. Unless she wants to face a very angry mast vampire, she will have to work overtime to find the killer. It's a good thing she's worth every penny.
Jane is back in this journey of trying to make sure Rick stays alive if he changes into a kitty, and to help the angry master vamps and find a killer. Things aren't really looking up in her world, and when things get worse the girls she calls family her life is going to take another drastic turn that may not be for the better.
This one was really good. But I was really worried about all the things that happened with Rick and Jane. And with Jane and Molly. I'm super worried for her. But I enjoyed getting to see her in action in this one. And getting to see more of the dynamic between Jane and Molly.
This one was another good book in this series and I look forward to reading more.
