Title: No One Like You
Series: Barefoot William #4
Author: Kate Angell
Rating:

No One Expects a Curveball

For Rylan Cates, the gloriously sunny beachside town of Barefoot William may be home, but the pro baseball player needs to focus on spring training. Hiring a personal assistant to keep him and his four dogs organized for the next eight weeks is the first step--and Beth Avery is the perfect pinch hitter.

Beth is still looking for her place in the world, and a couple months caring for Rylan's two dachshunds, his golden retriever, and a Great Dane named Atlas should shore up her finances before she moves on. Except it's Atlas who won't budge, pushing her toward tanned, scruffy, sexy Rylan every chance he gets. One more strike and she's calling the dog out--unless she and Rylan admit that the attraction they're feeling is a game-winning grand slam. .

No One Like You begins when Beth Avery gets the job of dog walking assistant to the famous baseball player Rylan Cates. She's running from her past and will only be in town a short while. And Rylan has things he has to do before the new season starts and he leaves town. But these two never expected to fall for each other during their time spent together. Now, neither one of them knows what to do next.

This book was okay. I really enjoyed the whole plot line! It was very interesting from start to finish. And I adored the two main characters as well. They were both very honest about their feelings and other things and it made them much more likable.
The downside to the story was at times it felt a little cut and dry. Kind of like we couldn't really "feel" what the characters were feeling, but just reading them. That made the story less enjoyable, and  a little frustrating. Other than that though I liked the whole book. It wasn't as good as the previous book though.
