The girl you all know as damaged. Quiet. Broken. She doesn’t fit in. Nothing in her world feels right. She’s trapped in a spiral of darkness that seem to be consuming her day by day, until she sees nothing but an empty, black hole. Her world is a dark place she can’t escape. She has people around her who matter. Who love her. But it’s not enough. Not enough to break her out of the bitter despair she lives in.
He knows pain. He knows darkness. He’s sweet. He’s kind. But most of all… He understands her. Combining their demons doesn’t seem like the best plan. Everyone is against them. He deserves better. She deserves better. They’ll never work. They’re too broken. Too damaged. It’s a destructive combination that will only end in heartbreak.
He’s a biker. She’s a broken angel.
But in their desolation, they find peace.
WITH EACH OTHER.
Desolation begins a few years after Pippa was saved, and reunited with her sister. She's still trying to get her life in order and deal with the issues she has. Then there is also Tyke. He's been there since the beginning, and she's in love with him. But he doesn't seem to want her that way. Pippa decided to try to do things in her life that her family thinks she's not ready for. But she's bound and determined to get back to who she was once upon a time. And things with Tyke start to take on a whole new level.
This book was okay. It was as great as previous books, but it was still really interesting.
I think the things that really bothered me where a few issues with Tyke towards the beginning. Then some things that happened towards the end, even though it set it up for a whole new series, I almost felt like this one was semi unfinished. However, the complete end was beautiful between Tyke and Pippa. And I really enjoyed getting to see her come out of her shell.
So, overall the book was very enjoyable. And I really did like it.
