Title: Strong
Author: Kendal Waller
Rating:

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT . . .

Shelby

I waited until the night he tried to kill me.

Waking up in the hospital I was banged and battered, but I wasn't broken. The wreck had been fatal but miraculously I had been spared with only bumps and bruises. He wanted to kill me. He said so as he hit me then dragged me out and threw me into the truck.

Now he was dead.
He was dead and I was free.

AND NEW BEGINNINGS ARE OFTEN DISGUISED AS PAINFUL ENDINGS (Lau Tzu) . . .

Wolf

There was no way this ending could begin anything good for me.

The moment it took me to get to her seemed an eternity. As I approached I could feel myself losing every part of me that was ever good or happy. The drunk who hit her never even slowed down as he plowed through the intersection, running the red light and stealing my life.

HOW DO YOU FIND STRENGTH TO CONTINUE WITH A LIFE THAT HAS DEALT SUCH PAIN. YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE.

Strong begins when Shelby gets the chance to leave her husband after his death. She's suffered for years at his hands, and now she packs everything she has and just leaves. She finds a new town, a job, a place to live. And even friends. But then she meets Wolf. He's everything she tells herself to stay away from. She doesn't want another man again, but things change when it seems she may not be safe anymore. Shelby and Wolf may have to come together in more ways then one in
order to keep her safe.

This story was beautiful! It held me captivated from the beginning all the way to the sweet ending.  I loved the main characters. Shelby was an extremely strong woman, and the title of the book seriously does her justice. She's extremely strong, and proud even though she's suffered so much. And Wolf is the perfect alpha male. I loved them together. They made a perfect couple, and it was utterly beautiful to witness. And the whole plot had lots of drama, romance, and more all tangled in this story. I highly recommend this one!
