“Tattooed package of sin.”

That’s how Savannah Ryan would describe Declan Whitmore, the deliciously tatted and pierced fighter who holds the top spot in Veritas, Boston’s newest underground fighting organization. Declan is relentless when he sets his sights on someone, both in and out of the ring, and Savannah’s witty comebacks and tight little body have just landed her on his radar.

There are a couple of teensy problems, though. Declan just happens to be Savannah’s new boss, which normally wouldn’t have stopped her from sleeping with him, but this recently reformed bad girl is trying to go straight after heading down a dangerous path. It’s too bad that Savannah’s new road to salvation doesn’t include pit stops for hard muscles, a beautiful face, and the prettiest damn pair of green eyes she’s ever seen.

Declan’s used to getting any girl he wants, but turning over a new leaf means too much to Savannah. She’s not going to make this easy for him. Her jaded exterior has kept people out and held her secrets in for as long as she can remember, and that’s exactly how she wants it to stay. But as Declan gets glimpses of the real girl inside, vulnerable and afraid, he makes it his mission to tear down those walls and free her. What if this tattooed package of sin is all the salvation she needs?

Down and Out begins when Savannah realizes that the way her life is going is not how she wants it to go. She knows she's better than this, and now she's going to find a way to change it. Down on her luck, she ends up going to a fighting gym asking for a job. But she never expected to find a very sexy man named Declan to be the owner of said gym. And Declan is a man who loves to fight, has a past that he doesn't let get him down, and is a known player. But when he sees Savannah he knows he's in for a world of trouble! But Savannah has a bad past that she can't seem to get away from, and she's running scared from Declan and his ideas. Declan however, is going to fight for what he wants, it's what he's always done and he's not going to stop until he gets her...

I loved this book! It was extremely good. It has romance, fighting, drama, passion, sexy times, and add in a little bit of humor as well and you get this kickass book known as Down and Out!

The whole plot was good and interesting, I was never bored while reading, and I had to keep going to figure out what was going to happen next. The characters were also very likable, and easy to understand as well. Then you have the relationship between Declan and Savannah that was just absoluetly amazing! They had lots of passion, but also an amazing banter that was hilarious at times. Like this for instance:

He nods again, trying to seem solemn. "I'm afraid so. You're stuck with me now, Kitten. I'm like a plastic sack that's wrapped around your tail. No matter how fast you run, I'll always be right behind you."

No one does sweet and hilarious like Declan, nobody!
I loved Declan and Savannah together, even when there was one time in the book I wanted to bash both their heads together and yell at them. Other than that I enjoyed every minuet of this book, and I do hope there will be more than just this one, because I would love to see Declan's brother get a book too, or Marcus gets one!

If you love alpha males, who have a sweet and funny side then you need to check this book out because it was awesome!

Kelley lives in Texas, but she swears it’s not all country music and cowboy boots... Okay, some of it is, but not all of it. She’s got an amazing husband, who continues to inspire her every day. Even after twelve years and two ridiculously cute little girls.

  1. I'm so glad you loved this one, Whitney. I recently saw it and was debating on one-clicking it. You made my decision for me. :) Declan sounds delish. I'm also interested in seeing these two fall for one another and watch them grow. Excellent review!
