Title: Hot as Hades
Series: Four Horsemen MC #2
Author: Cynthia Rayne
Release Date: 9/5/2014
Rating:

Cowboy is a former rodeo star and a member of the Four Horsemen MC. He spots Daisy Weston stripping in a club owned by the club’s rivals, the Raptors. They have taken her younger sister, Rose, and Daisy is determined to free her at any cost. With Cowboy acting as her bodyguard and guide to the outlaw world, she is getting closer to discovering Rose’s whereabouts, one lap dance at a time. Despite his better judgment, Cowboy finds himself falling for the pretty ex-marine and putting her in harm's way every night is becoming more and more difficult. Can they rescue Rose, before the Raptors discover they are really working for the Four Horsemen?

Hot as Hades begins with Cowboy doing a little spying at a rival MC's stripper join. He never expected to set eyes on Daisy though, but that's what happened. Daisy is a whole lot different then all the other strippers, and Cowboy can't keep his eyes off of her. So he lets something other than his brain do the talking when she invites him back for a lap dance. The thing is Cowboy's right Daisy isn't like other strippers she's just posing as one to get information on her missing sister Rose. But Daisy also never expected Cowboy to be with a different club, and she never expected that club to be different then all other MC's but they were... Now Cowboy and Daisy have a long ride ahead of them in order to find Rose, but they also seem to be fighting an attraction to each other as well.

This book was really good. I'm not sure if it's as good as the first one or not, but it's pretty close. I loved how Daisy was able to take care of herself for the most part anyways, and that she didn't back down in a fight. I also loved how Cowboy seemed to claim her before he even knew he really wanted her! These two have kind of a strange relationship at first but it soon blooms into something really special.

There were a few things I didn't like though as well. And that was actually seeing a different side of Ryker in this book. He makes a comment that doesn't seem to be very nice considering he's in a relationship with Elizabeth, and then just the way he and Duke go at it is kind of frustrating. Then the only other thing was towards the end when I wanted to smack Daisy! Seriously, I was screaming at the book "your a Marine you've got to be smarter than this", but alas it didn't help much! I really thought Daisy would have been smarter than that, but we all make mistakes.

Other than that this book was very good! It took a little bit of a darker turn than the first one, but it was still good. And the characters were awesome. I can't wait to read more!

  1. I've only read one MC series - Madeline Sheehan's - but I've always wanted to read more MCs. I'll have to give this one a shot - especially since it's set in Texas! ;)
