Risk of a Lifetime begins when Marcy is at the bank and it gets robbed. She thinks it is just a one time thing, and she never expected to see her ex husband (well not exactly ex) FBI agent JB Bradley on the scene to help her. And when they start to realize that someone is actually after Marcy, JB says he's not going to be leaving her again. But Marcy has been hiding some secrets from him, and he's not going to be too happy when he finds out. And the longer these two spend together, the more their love seems to rekindle.
The book was generally okay. It had a nice plot line, with some interesting characters. I just didn't really feel very much for either character. I felt like both of them acted like cowards, and should never have gotten married to begin with if they really didn't know each other all that well. And it seems they didn't. Then I really hated the "games" Marcy sort of played with JB. It was really annoying. Other than that I liked the story, and suspense.
