Title: Cree
Series: My Way, #1
Author: H.J. Bellus
Rating: 3 Shooting Stars

**Please note: This book was previously named - My Now & Forever (My Way, #1)**

Whose parents abandon them in a trashy trailer when they are five years old? Oh Yeah! Mine do! Hey Hoochies! I'm Milly, and I am tired of taking kicks to the gut. A broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of loved ones have left me crying Uncle, and declaring a serious case of the Fuck-Its! I had my heart broken, stomped on and shattered before I ever started on my journey to find my little piece of happiness. With a bucket list, a '66 Ford and wild dreams, I set out on an adventure that changed my life forever. I found Cree… A pirate with a little princess and they swept me off my ever lovin' feet, filling my world with sprinkles, mac n’ cheese and the courage to live again. They forced my fragile heart to trust and love without fear. But the truth is, nobody’s past stays hidden forever. It’s an invisible monster waiting to attack and destroy. It has the capability to ruin everything you’ve worked to set right.

Cree begins with us getting to know a little bit about Milly's childhood. Then we see her in her current marriage, until the one person she really loves dies. Then she continues her journey leaving town and divorcing her husband. After that she finds a nice little town in Colorado to start anew. Things really begin to change for when she meets Cree and his little daughter. They build a relationship very quickly but it isn't just Cree and his daughter. It is Cree's sister Willow, and Lacey the local hair stylist who makes the group a family. Milly has to experience a lot to get her HEA, but she does get it even though it was really hard.

I liked this book but there was just something about it that didn't make it all that great. I sort of felt like there wasn't enough dialogue, and when there was dialogue it seemed really cheesy and forced. Other than that I really loved all of the characters, and the story line. It was a very interesting nice read. It wasn't really angsty or anything, and it was super easy to follow!
