Anna Latham didn’t know how complicated life could be until she became a werewolf. And until she was mated to Charles Cornick, the son—and enforcer—of Bran, the leader of the North American werewolves, she didn’t know how dangerous it could be either.
Anna and Charles have just been enlisted to attend a summit to present Bran’s controversial proposition: that the wolves should finally reveal themselves to humans. But the most feared Alpha in Europe is dead set against the plan—and it seems like someone else might be too. When Anna is attacked by vampires using pack magic, the kind of power only werewolves should be able to draw on, Charles and Anna must combine their talents to hunt down whoever is behind it all—or risk losing everything.
Hunting Ground begins when Charles and Anna have to go to Seattle in the place of Bran. Bran is "coming out" to the humans, and some of the European Alpha's have a problem with this. But when Charles, and Anna get their they realize it will be dangerous for them as well when someone tries to take Anna. Charles and Anna are still going to do their best to figure out whose trying to hurt them, and who is willing to mess up the plans for Bran.
I liked this one a lot better than the first one. This one had a very interesting plot line, and liked how there was more interaction between Anna and Charles. I just wish I could actually feel something between them. I really don't so far in this series, and I find it frustrating. Other than that I really thought the book was good. And I do look forward to read more in this series.
