Lorraine ‘Rae’ Scott (shoe-lover and hopeful future boutique owner), has loved Elliott Steele (super-hot, badass Investigator), for as long as she can remember, but she locked the feelings away, when he started sleeping with every girl he could. He’s never wanted Rae. Rae’s never wanted anyone else.
When trouble comes knocking on Rae's door, will Elliott be able to save her? Will he return her feelings? or, will it all be worthless?
Sapphire begins when Rae is out with her friends dancing the night away. She's dancing with this guy when all of a sudden he is literally just not there. She soon finds out that Elliot her best friend's brother, the man she's been in love with for ever, just took the guy away from her. And now he's telling her that they are stopping the "games" and starting a relationship.. These two have a whole lot of crazy to go through first before they can end up together.. The story does have a great happily ever after though!
Rae was an interesting character. She had a whole lot of flaws but she was still a good person. But I felt like we really never got to learn a whole lot about Elliot. And I also felt like there weren't many emotions felt between them. Yeah there was great sexy parts, but not much else really. And then I just didn't like a whole lot of things that went down. I don't want to say much more because it will give things away. But overall the book wasn't what I was expecting, and it was only okay. I am really doubting I will read the next book. But it was an okay book just to pass the time with and not get too invested in.
