Done with being the world's biggest pushover, Haley decides that things are going to change starting with the aggravating neighbor who has too much charm and not enough restraint. What she didn't expect was to be sucked into his world, but Haley has a game plan and she won't let herself forget just what the bad boy next door is capable of.
The last thing Jason expected was for his little shy neighbor to go Rambo on him over some ruined flowers. After he decides to take her under his wing he can't help but notice that she fits very nicely in his life. Now the only thing left is to convince her that this is anything but a game.
Playing for Keeps begins when Hailey finally decides to start standing up for her self. She's always been a little timid and shy, just letting people walk all over her. But that stops when she finds her sexy neighbor tearing up her flowerbed. So she does something about it. This leads these two very different people to build a beautiful friendship that quickly turns to love. The only problem is other's don't agree with what they have, and they end up making dumb mistakes along the way.
Hailey and Jason are wonderful together. I loved how they became very good friends first before anything else happened. The book was funny, well written, and had awesome characters. I loved both the hero and heroine. The only thing that I actually liked it but I thought was a bit overdone was the whole Jason eating thing. At times it was funny, but other times I thought it went a little overboard. Other than that I really liked the book and look forward to more in the series.
