Title: Collaboration
Author: Michelle Lynn & Nevaeh Lee
Rating: 3 Shooting Stars

This is not your typical rock star romance. For one, the “rock star” is a rapper. And not just any rapper. Trace is the hottest ticket in the music industry right now, regardless of which definition of ‘hot’ you choose.

Taryn Starr is not the girl-next-door who unknowingly meets a celebrity. Known as “America’s Sweetheart,” the reigning country music princess and world-renowned superstar knows exactly who Trace is…or does she?

Their worlds collide when the musicians whose paths were never destined to cross are forced by their joint record label to collaborate on a song. The sparks fly and ignite a fire that blazes hotter with every minute they spend together—for better or worse. One thing’s for certain, the two media magnets can’t deny their explosive chemistry, but will life in the spotlight ultimately bring Trace and Taryn together or force them apart?

***This contemporary romance new adult novel is for mature audiences. The language alone would make a sailor blush (the guy’s a rapper, remember?) so 18+ only, please.Collaboration

Collaboration begins when Taryn and Trace meeting at the music awards. Taryn is automatically judging Trace because of how he's acting. And Trace is doing the same. The problem is they both seem to find the other oddly attractive, even though technically Trace is the all around play boy rapper, and Taryn is the country "America's sweetheart." After they meet they get thrown together by their label telling them to do a collaboration song together. Once this begins these two start to talk a whole lot while they are on tour.. The slowly start building towards a beautiful romance, but since they are both in the spotlight all of the time a lot of what they do is put out there for the world to see.. So now Trace and Taryn have to learn to trust each other enough to make it through all of the drama along the way.

I really did like this book. I thought it was pretty interesting. The thing I didn't get and that was some what of a turn off was Taryn's situation with her mom. I felt like her dad should have stepped in a few times, and it seems like he didn't so I just didn't get that. Other than that I really did like it. I loved Taryn and Trace's relationship. Despite all of the odds they were determined to make it work. Now the ending was completely different than what I was expecting. It was even a little bit sad. But I was happy with the way it turned out I thought it was pretty cool. So over all the book was good, it was a little bit different than some of the rockstar books I've read previously. But it was still enjoyable!
