Title: Sentinel
Series: Covenant, #5
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars

it's a beautiful day for a war.

As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.

And with all the obstacles between Alex and her happily-ever-after with the swoonworthy Aiden St. Delphi, they must now trust a deadly foe as they travel deep into the Underworld to release one of the most dangerous gods of all time.

In the stunning, action-packed climax to the bestselling Covenant series, Alex must face a terrible choice: the destruction of everything and everyone she holds dear… or the end of herself.

Sentinel is the last book in the Covenant series beginning right where the fourth book left off. Alex is now recovering from her last fight with Aries and she is left damaged to say the least. Not just her body, but something is not quite right with her mind either. As the days continue they try to do as much as they can to figure out how to take down Aries. Not only that Alex, and Aiden have a few personal problems going on as well. But this will be the end for their whole world as they know it if they don't figure out how to fix things and fast.

I really liked this book. But there was just something about it that felt like it was sort of a repeat of previous books. Especially when it came to the Seth, and Aiden thing. But I also loved how we got to see more of Aiden and Alex together. They were beautiful together, and it was so nice to see more of them in this book. Also we got to see more of Alex's previous friends as well. I felt the ending was very sad, and it did leave some questions unanswered. And it didn't really make a whole lot of sense in some ways, but who knows maybe there is another series on the rise that continues with certain aspects from this one. You just never know. But I am sad to see this series end. Over all it was a great ending!
