Title: Daylighters
Series: The Morganville Vampires, #15
Author: Rachel Caine
Rating: 3 Shooting Stars

While Morganville, Texas, is often a troubled town, Claire Danvers and her friends are looking forward to coming home. But the Morganville they return to isn’t the one they know; it’s become a different place—a deadly one…

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.

It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free future. And while it sounds like salvation—even for the vampires themselves—the truth is far more sinister and deadly.

Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end…

Daylighters is the last book in The Morganville Vampires series. It begins where the previous book left off with Shane, Claire, Eve, and Michael all coming back to Morganville to warn the vampires of the danger. But they come back to a completely changed Morganville. Now a group of humans called the Daylighters have taken over Morganville and trapped the vampires. In this final book in the series mass chaos ensues, with lots of changes to the main characters.

I liked this one. But I felt like this series started falling flat around the tenth book. And I really felt like Shane and Claire weren't as close as they use to be. And in this book we really didn't get to see a whole lot of emotion, or drama. It was mainly a whole lot of action. And it also seemed like Claire wasn't as into the action as she once had been. I was glad with the out come of the story though. And over all it was a nice ending to the book. I was glad to have read this series.
