Pepper Winters!

Title: Quintessentially Q
Series: Monsters In The Dark, #2
Author: Pepper Winters
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars
Release Date: December 15, 2013
“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right."

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

As the second book in this series it begins with us getting to see a small glimpse into the life of Q and Tess. Things aren't all that great exactly. They are both trying to get use to this new relationship they have, and how they are going to work out their feelings. But things go wrong when Tess gets taken again. Now Tess and Q are both living in a nightmare again. And this time it's much much worse than it ever could have been before. Through out this book we see the good, the bad, and the broken Tess and Q. And we just have to hope they make it through every thing and come out together in the end.

Wow. Okay seriously make sure you read the WARNING first before reading this book. This one seemed a whole lot more graphic, and darker than the first one. I couldn't even comprehend half of what was happening to Tess. It was just that awful. At one point I even wanted to put the book down, and say I give up I can't read this. But I managed to push through because there is just something about Q and Tess that has you secretly rooting for them to come out in the end together. And dang, I'm glad I finished. The book was good. I think I still liked the first one better, and I'm not sure about reading another one but I did like this one. It was very good. We get to see new sides to both Tess, and Q. And we get to see their relationship strengthen. And that was the beautiful part about the book, Tess and Q's relationship. I really admired both characters, and I was very happy with the ending!

Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex. She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends. Her debut book Tears of Tess will be followed with Quintessentially Q. You didn’t think Q could stop so soon, did you? Her other two titles, Last Shadow and Broken Chance will be coming soon.
