Release Date: December 2013

Liese is finally moving on with Frey by her side. But sometimes letting go is the hardest part, and trusting is a risk one has to take. In between her practicum and spending time with Frey whenever he is town, she fights her insecurities, and wins. Then something happens and Frey's priorities momentarily shift, making her second guess their relationship. Suddenly, going back to their former best friends status has never looked so appealing.

Frey's life has never shined so bright now that Liese is his. But there is a part of him that is shrouded by memories he'd rather have them buried where no one can touch them. Not even him. But even buried memories and people can't stay hidden for forever. What Liese doesn't know is that Frey isn't about to let go so easily, and he will throw in everything he's got to stop her from leaving him. He has waited an eternity for her.
Giving her up is not an option.

♣Excerpt♣
Frey turned around and scowled down at Liese, his heart beating fast. Shit! This wasn’t how he wanted their morning to start. He’d been putting off talking about it because it hurt so much. Every time he thought he’d healed off the experience, another year rolled by, bringing with it the same pain all over again.

And now Liese was challenging him, like he had done to her not long ago. Her brown eyes were fierce. The lips he’d devoured last night and this morning were pulled in a tight line. Her soft, brown skin glowed in the morning sunlight streaming through the parted curtains. Don’t touch her. Don’t touch her. Those words knocked around each other in his head until he felt fortified enough to stand there and just look. She stood at least a foot shorter than him, and yet she managed to make him feel like a rebellious thirteen-year-old. He’d missed this side of her, the last two years after her loss. This tiny ball of fire, determined, stubborn, and right now, quite annoying. And for just that, he paused long enough to listen to what she had to say, although he knew what was about to come out of that pretty mouth of hers. Her breasts bounced a bit as she squared her shoulders. All these emotions swirling inside him, with arousal thrown in there, were just too much, and right now, he could only handle one emotion at a time. And since he didn’t want to spoil last night’s memories with his anger and pain, he grabbed the bedding and covered her.

“What are you doing?” she asked as he finished tucking the corners under her arms.

“Taking the higher road,” he said. It was more like a grunt, the caveman kind. He swallowed hard, and clutched his hands into fists to stop himself from reaching out. From burying himself so deep inside her. Forgetting about life. About pain. Just him and his girl. She slipped her hand around his, uncurling the fist, then twined their fingers, and he let her, because God knew he could never resist her.
Resist pleasing her. Over the years it had become his lifetime goal from the minute, years ago, he’d realized he was in love with her. Against his wish, his body relaxed, but he quickly tried to summon the anger he’d kept locked away in the years since his brother had died. It was the only way to beat her at this.

Cecilia Robert writes YA, NA and Adult. Her motto: Passion rules. She enjoys writing stories about people finding love in the most unexpected of places, and also about people finding their true purpose in life coupled with adventurous journeys, whether it's urban, fantasy, sci-fi, contemporary or paranormal romance. There's always a happy ever after, no matter how long it takes for the characters to get there. When she's not working in her full time job, she dons her supermom cape, or in most cases find herself trapped between the pages of a book in search for a hero who'll make her swoon with just a look or a word. Her favourite form of therapy is knitting. Best. Therapy. Ever.
