Title: Bloodlust
Series: Blood Destiny, #5
Author: Helen Harper
Rating: 3 Shooting Stars

Mack is scrambling to wrest back some control over her life, balancing the need to keep her squabbling council in check and locate the necromancer Endor at the same time. Old threats and old alliances keep springing back up to haunt her, and Corrigan, the Lord Alpha of the Brethren, would be perfectly happy if the earth swallowed her up whole and she was never seen again. Unfortunately he may just get his wish...

Bloodlust begins with Mack being the head of the new council that was made. She had to give up her happiness in order to achieve this goal, but she hopes to end it once this major threat is taken care of. However, the rest of the council may have different ideas for her. Not only that but it appears that the Lord Alpha has moved on from her. And again Mack has even more problems with more people getting hurt, and dying then she finds out something else that's life altering.

The whole book was a major life alter for Mack. I was sad about the few people who did die in the book. And I felt awful for the way things were going with the Lord Alpha. But I loved how Mack was willing to help everyone, and take care of her friends. There were a few things that bugged me with this book, and I don't want to say them all specifically because it will ruin the book so I will just keep it vague. I really hated how Mack found out more about her life, and then decided not to really doing anything about it... Then the ending was sort of anticlimactic. I'm assuming this is the end of the series, and I was seriously disappointed... I was kind of hoping for a lot more. But over all I did enjoy the series, and this book was okay.
