Title: Opal
Series: Lux, #3
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

As the third book in the Lux series starts out Dawson is back. The DOD haven't come after them yet, and Katy and Daemon are closer than ever not.

But Katy still has some problems. Like the fact that Andrew, Ash, and Dee seem to blame her for Adam's death, and Katy agrees with them. Then there is the fact that Dawson is an accident waiting to happen, and he's not going to stop looking for Beth.

All of this going on with Katy's mom's boyfriend still speaking to her, and kids at school trying to figure out what is going on with all of the missing kids. Not only that it seems Blake has come back again, this kid must have a death wish.

You get to experience all of the romance, drama, and action in this wonderful third book the series. But the ending pissed me off completely. I just couldn't believe it. It was a major cliffhanger. I was left with my mouth hanging open with sheer horror! It seriously a "holy crow batman" moment. But now I'm itching to read more, and I can not wait for the next book. Dang, more waiting sheesh!
