Story Brooks’ fiancé just called off their wedding two weeks before the happy day. As if that isn't bad enough, her semi-estranged father, an infamous NYPD hostage negotiator, has suffered a heart attack. Not wanting to examine her lack of emotion over the broken engagement, she hops on a plane to reconnect with her father before it’s too late.
Playboy hostage negotiator Daniel Chase has never, not once, been refused by a woman, so when a debate over hospital snack foods with a delectable kindergarten teacher ends in flat-out rejection, he makes it his mission to seduce her. His only obstacle? She’s the daughter of his mentor who implicitly forbade Daniel from pursuing her.
Despite her father’s warnings and Daniel’s troubled past, Daniel and Story can’t resist their intense attraction to one another. But when the reason for her fiancé’s abrupt wedding cancellation comes to light, can Story and Daniel's already forbidden relationship survive?
Office Off Limits is a hilarious story about a man with a horrible past, and women who has just come back to herself. They meet in a rather unexpected way, and then realize that they have more than just an attraction to one another.
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, sexy, sweet, with a twist of danger.
Story just got dumped by her fiance just a few weeks before the wedding. The surprise isn't just being dumped its in the lack of caring that she's not with him anymore. That same day she gets a phone call about her dad having a heart attack in New York. So she flies half way around the country to see her estranged father. There she meets his protege Daniel, a man whore. They meet and before they know who the other his he hits on her, and she turns him down. Now her father wants them to spend time together so she's not in New York alone.
While Story has to figure somethings out about her self. Daniel wants to completely change his ways to be with her. He realizes that what they have is more than just one night. It could be forever.
Again I can't say it enough, I totally loved this book. I love this series actually, each and every book so far has been awesome. I only wish that some of the characters knew each other. That would be kind of cool to see the other characters from other books in this one. I really hope there are going to be more to come because this series is just that awesome. Kudos to the author for making such an attractive series. :)
