Title: Beneath Him
Series: Harlow Trilogy, #1
Author: C. Shell
Rating: 2 Shooting Stars

-No matter how many times I try to stay away from him, he draws me back in.

Jessica Grayson and her best friend Jane recently started their own business as make-up artists in Dallas,Texas after graduating college. During a photo shoot at at prestigious magazine Jessica literally runs into a beautiful intense stranger who takes her breath away. The chemistry between them is consuming and intense and hard to say no to.

Alex Harlow is rich, possessive, and insanely smitten with Jessica Grayson. Alex is the CEO of Glimmer Magazine and meets Jessica when she runs into him during a photo shoot. Alex does not do normal relationships and is a very private person but Jessica has gotten under his skin and he is determined to win her over despite her many attempts to keep things casual between them.

They both have reasons and past regrets that should keep them apart but neither has the willpower to deny the intense chemistry pulling them together.
Can they escape their pasts or will it tear them apart.

Beneath Him was way different than what I was expecting. I really thought it would be interesting, but it sort of wasn't. It's about a women named Jessica who does make up for a living. On a job one day she ends up running into the owner literally from then on, he's out to get her into his bed. This book was very short. And I really felt like I couldn't connect with the characters at all. Everything was so rushed. And then the ending was horrible, it really just leaves you hanging with so many questions. And Alex seems kind of crazy and not in a good way. I really didn't care for this book so I won't be reading any more of this series.
