Title: The Mayfair Moon
Series: The Darkwoods Trilogy, #1
Author: J. A. Redmerski
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars

After a nightmarish encounter with a werewolf, seventeen-year-old Adria Dawson loses her sister, but gains the love of a mysterious young man and his legendary family.

Strange and tragic things begin to happen in the small town of Hallowell, Maine: residents come down with an unexplainable ‘illness’ and some disappear. In the midst of everything, Isaac Mayfair is adamant about keeping Adria safe, even from her sister whom he has warned her to stay away from.

As unspeakable secrets unfold all around Adria, impossible choices become hers to bear. Ultimately, no matter what path she takes, her life and the lives of those she loves will be in peril. As she learns about the werewolf world she also learns why her place in it will change the destinies of many.

Adria Dawson and her sister are caught up in the middle of a werewolf fight. They both got hurt, but only one of them was infected by the werewolf. Adria and her sister move out of state to Main to live with their Aunt and Uncle. Soon Adria  loses her sister, and gains a whole new group of friends who are werewolves.

Adria knew instantly that they werewolves who attacked them, but she never would have dreamed her sister would change so much just from one incident. She is trying to adjust with her new environment, and deal with everything that happened to them before they moved to their new home.

All comes the Mayfair's. Adria has a crush on Isaac even though she just met him, and she can't get over how strange it is to be around them, and their family. She also doesn't like the crowd her sister is hanging out with.

This book has a lot of drama, and some awesome werewolfness going on! I really enjoyed this book, and I can not wait to read more. The character's are really well written, and I was able to get lots of emotions off of them. None of the character's were overly annoying either, they all just melded together perfectly.
