Title: Darkness
Series: The Brookehaven Vampires, #2
Author: Joann I. Martin Sowles
Rating: 2 Shooting Stars

Not long ago, Laney Alexander was living a carefree life, that is, until she was thrown into a world full of creatures only the imagination thought possible. Now, after surviving a terrifying night, Laney and Oliver are lying low at Julz's place, relieved to be in each other's arms once again. But fate seems to have other plans...

Julz is not happy to have visitors in her home and emotions run high. Laney is pushed to her limits as she watches Carter fight for his life and her relationship with Oliver becomes strained as she discovers secrets about Julz that could tear them apart.

As she reaches her boiling point, disaster strikes and her life is shattered. Laney must come to terms with what has unfolded. Will she lose her way and let the darkness consume her or will she find her light in Oliver?

Secrets will be revealed. Hearts will be broken. Lives will be lost. Darkness will fall.

Well I was disappointed with this book, and I won't be continuing this series now because of it.
The story seems to take a very strange turn now. It's like dumb drama that keeps coming up. The stuff with Julz just bothered me, and I really can't stand her. And then Laney start acting really stupid when it comes to Carter, but yet she blames Oliver for all of the things with Julz, it just really showed she's not that great of a person, and I really started to dislike her  a lot in this book. Oliver turned out to be a better character, but I still do not understand why he hides so many things, and the fact that Laney just lets it all slide by her likes it's okay.  And then there is the fact that things keep hinting to Laney's heritage being vampire related but yet she doesn't even look into more, because she too involved with things going on with Carter. It really just drove me nuts, and I had to force myself to finish the book.
