Title: This Side Of The Grave
Series: Night Huntress, #5
Author: Jeaniene Frost
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars

Danger waits on both sides of the grave.

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her vampire husband Bones have fought for their lives, as well as for their relationship. But just when they've triumphed over the latest battle, Cat's new and unexpected abilities threaten to upset a long-standing balance . . .
With the mysterious disappearance of vampires, rumors abound that a species war is brewing. A zealot is inciting tensions between the vampires and ghouls, and if these two powerful groups clash, innocent mortals could become collateral damage. Now Cat and Bones are forced to seek help from a dangerous "ally"; the ghoul queen of New Orleans herself. But the price of her assistance may prove more treacherous than even the threat of a supernatural war . . . to say nothing of the repercussions Cat never imagined.

This book was an awesome continuation of how explosive Bones, and Cat are together. They are an awesome couple, and powerful team. I really enjoyed this book a lot. Now Cat and Bones have to once again fight for the lives of everyone else, and themselves, but this time they are fighting against a war between Ghouls and Vampires. And the Ghoul queen herself may be an ally or a foe, that is yet to be decided.
This book starts out with Bones, and Cat trying to keep Cat's "eating" habits a secret, and trying to get to the Ghoul who is trying to threaten Cat, and start a war. Along with Bones, and Cat you have the help from the grandsire, and of course my favorite vampire Vlad! There are a ton of exciting things going on in this book, and one really huge sad thing that happens. I couldn't believe it, I was so upset when that happened, and then seeing how hard it was for Cat just made it that much worse. But overall this book was awesome, and I can not wait to read the next one.
