Title: Heaven And Hell
Author: Kristen Ashley
Rating: 4 Shooting Stars

After making a bad decision when she was very young, Kia Clementine finds herself in hell. Then, suddenly, within the time it takes for a shotgun to blast, her hell changes. Completely. Then out-of-the-blue she sees Sampson Cooper, her celebrity crush. A man the whole world knows is decent. A man the world knows is loyal. A man the world knows is good. All of these very unlike her now dead husband.

He’s sitting at a table right next to hers. And she catches his eye.

Terrified of the interest Sam shows in her, Kia finds the courage to go out with him. Not long after, she shares her dark secrets and Sam shares that he’ll stop at nothing to gain her trust.

As Sam leads Kia to heaven, Kia realizes that Sam is living his own hell. But although he gives her beauty and she gives him everything, he withholds his trust.

Even with all the beauty Sam shows her, Kia wants it all. But Sam forces Kia to make a heartbreaking decision and only she can decide. It’s all or nothing.

Kia finally gets let out of "hell" so she takes of for a vacation in Europe, because due to part of that "hell" she is now pretty stinking rich! On her vacation in Europe she meets the Sampson Cooper. And things start to heat up between the two of them. Maybe she's finally found her slice of "heaven?"

Kia is an awesome character, she is super strong, and has a huge heart. She made a huge mistake when she was younger, now she's trying to turn her life around and make up for that mistake.
Here comes the famous hot Sampson Cooper to her rescue. He sees Kia, and the minute he does he knows she has secrets but he also knows a good thing when he sees it. So he decides to do whatever it takes to hold onto her.

"Wherever you are, however you got there, if it's good, you're meant to be there either because you earned it or life led you there and you were smart enough to hold on."-Sam

Sam is a very smart man, but he also has his own secrets, and sometimes in the book when Sam wouldn't share his secrets I really got upset with him. And I understood why Kia had to do what she did, even though it was heartbreaking for both of them I still understood and I was glad she did it.
The other character's in the story were well written and very intriguing themselves. I do hope some of them get their own story one day, because they are just that awesome!
This book is a wonderful story, it's funny, and has a lot of heart. I highly recommend Heaven and Hell!

  1. I loved this book. I just did a re-read last week and seriously, Sam might be my #1 KA hero of all time. Well, Frey is up there too. But Sam *sighs* He's just wonderful. (Well except for the part where he acts like a guy and ya know, has to make up for it! LOL) The epilogue is great too I thought.
